Introduction

The SAVRY (Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth) is a well-evidenced and widely used risk assessment tool that helps professionals identify young individuals at risk of engaging in violent or problematic behaviors.

It is designed for comprehensive violence risk evaluation and management in adolescents aged 12-18, grounded in the Structured Professional Judgment (SPJ) framework.

It can be utilized across correctional, forensic, and general or civil psychiatric environments. The SAVRY is widely adopted internationally.

Our SAVRY training provides practitioners with the knowledge and skills to administer the assessment accurately, interpret the results, and develop effective treatment plans. We will explain key developmental principles pertinent to assessing and managing violence risk in young people, demonstrate how to evaluate and score risk and protective factors using the SAVRY, and discuss practical considerations for implementing the measure effectively in real-world settings

This comprehensive training spans over two days. It covers the theoretical background of SAVRY, detailed item-by-item review, and practical scoring exercises. Participants will analyze case vignettes and learn how to incorporate SAVRY findings into risk management and intervention strategies.
